Brenda has enjoyed an exciting Human Resources career that spans over 25 years of demonstrating her commitment and passion for the HR industry, quality work and customer service.  Considered an expert in her field, the last 25 years she has been focused as a Human Resources practitioner.  She started her career with the LA City Fireman’s Credit Union providing unparalleled customer service to their membership family. Brenda was recruited to work for THE best worldwide Customer Service organization by starting her Human Resources professional career with the Walt Disney Company.  She enjoyed an 18-year career by truly working at the happiest place on earth!  Brenda started her HR career beginning at Disney University within the Disneyland Resort to the West Coast Regional Human Resources for Walt Disney Imagineering/ESPN Zones.  She opened her own practice, Bowen-Meyers & Associates in 2013.
She is fortunate to continue to round out her experience in Human Resources by working for National and International firms and presently works as the President of Human Resources Services and Talent Acquisition for Bowen-Meyers & Associates.  Brenda has worked in a variety of industries such as Food & Beverage, Entertainment, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Medical, Transportation, Construction and Distribution. Brenda’s clients view her as a true strategic partner and not just a consultant.  Her experience with Training & Development, Executive Coaching, Performance Management, Compliance, Strategic Planning and Talent Acquisition/Recruitment make her an expert in her field.
In her spare time Brenda obtained her PHR in 2006 and is very active with PIHRA serving on their Board of Directors and the PIHRA Foundation serving on their Executive Board of Directors. Brenda has a passion for non-profit organizations as she gives back as a Career Coach for Working Wardrobes, Easter Seals, Women Helping Women and the PIHRA Foundation. She loves the Beach and being outdoors especially when riding her motorcycle. Brenda attended UCLA and is very faithful to her Bruins!
